Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/29/2006 11:09:40 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Congrats Bangers!!!

If anyone is lonely this new years eve, go get your self a block of cheese and come back to this board and view the last 300 messages and read the Steve O posts plenty of whine there to go with the cheese. It's hard to believe the same guy won the title....lol

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

Gang Bangers 2003, 2006 CPFL Champs!

My team hung around long enough to squeak in to the playoffs all year. I knew if I got in I had a great shot. All my players, most of whom were Dogs throughout the 1st half of the season, really came around when the money was on the line.

Most notably Steven Jackson and Marvin Harrison. They dogged it all year until the last 5 weeks when I really needed them.

Let's not forget a big thank you to Clinton Portis for getting hurt which allowed me to get Betts and play him instead of Droughns.

Last but not least, Romo saved my sorry ass draft pick of Culpooper. The last Dolphin I ever draft!

Martin OConnell - BigCat: Posted on 12/27/2006 3:46:09 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Congrats Steve-O.

2006 Payouts

I should have checks out soon since only two teams owe money. Let me know if you want any money credited towards the 2007 baseball or football season.

Please send me your address so I can send a check. I can also pay via Paypal if you desire.

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/24/2006 4:01:30 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Congrats Steve-O, record days for your guys and mine all came up short... won't even be close. Fortunately, beating Frank and collecting $300 is plenty fine for me.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Big Grin

Merry Christmas Everybody, or as Harry Caray would have said, Merry Christmas Everybody. Confused

Tis the season for the annual Steve Swick Letter to Santa post. Steve-O wasn't always so crude, loathsome, and obscene. It is all Santa's fault. It was Santa that led Steve-O down that ugly path to the gutter.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/22/2006 1:13:20 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Glad my QB could help Mika, damn bust out......

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/21/2006 11:21:19 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Man, I feel bad for anyone who bet on the Pack at -3/3.5 tonight... Bubba Franks basically cost them a TD about 3 times. At most I probably missed one Ahman Green TD, but at least I got a good day out of the Vikes D thanks to good 'ol #4.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/19/2006 12:46:42 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Bob, you make a great point about the Power Point Championship. I used to bitch about Marty's payouts, but if you really look at it Marty does a great job in spreading it out. For instance, you won't win the title, but I sincerely doubt that there is anyone in this league who won't agree you had the best team. The Power Points prove you have the best team and Marty rewards for that.

It's too bad I beat you because I actually believe you deserve to play for the Championship, but this is Fantasy Football. Look at Mika scoring a measly 32 points and he makes the final. Confused

Bob Hartwig - What About Bob: Posted on 12/19/2006 10:51:55 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Ain't that a bitch! Second time I had the second highest point total and lost to the highest. Oh well, at least I clinched the power point championship. So much for the vaunted east division. Good luck to those who are left (emphasis on luck) and happy holidays to everyone.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/19/2006 9:20:56 AM EST  Edit  Delete

The 2 teams with the lowest Points Against Avg. are in the Final. I think this is telling us something.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/19/2006 12:15:19 AM EST  Edit  Delete

I am living the fantasy football nightmare this year! I'm hoping for a 0-0 tie.........then what happens mister commissioner?

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/18/2006 11:28:14 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Looks like I don't have to sweat it anymore... I get by with a poor performance which will not be repeated next week with the Championship on the line.

Sorry Bangers, but as the guys in the Avis commercial would say, I GOTTA STACK CHEESE!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/18/2006 10:53:17 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Yep, the team everyone loves to hate, THE GANG BANGERS, going once again to the CPFL Final!! I knew I had a shot once ROMOOOO worked out instead of my LAME ASS draft pick of Culpooper. A word to the wise, never draft Dolphins! They have the curse of Wanny, it's a worse curse than the Goat! I think Bartman is a Dolphin fan!

See you next week Farce, YOU'RE GOING DOWN FOR THE COUNT! (Congrats by the way!!!)

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/18/2006 10:01:38 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Don't worry Chase, I still love you, it's great how easy it is to get under your skin. Yahoo sucks still though. Next year when I draft I'll just draft all dual spot players wheeeeeeeee

Congrats Bangers... Starvin' Marvin did not go hungry tonight and made it easy for you... now maybe he'll share one with Reggie so I don't have to worry about Vinateri nudging closer

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/18/2006 8:33:21 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Hey Bangers for the record if you look back i never called you a Moron, although it goes without saying you are a Moron.......why is it you can name someone a MOTW but their reasoning for not starting a certain player doesn't matter, but when someone names you it's ok give give stats for the reason why.....you really need to stop talking out of your ass if at all possible......name all the stats you want if you lose this week cause you have two TE's (joke...lol) on you roster and you started the wrong one you will be living with that pain for a while and don't worry I'll be right here pounding it home......wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...I guess my players 12 point performance is a sign that i have no clue on how to coach em up, your right i really need to think about doing this again next year, I'm sorry i need to go weep..... FrownFrownFrownFrown

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/18/2006 3:10:54 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Mika: With my luck you won't be facing me. Even though Harrison is going against the worst pass defense in the NFL tonight, that'll probably mean a lot of points for Wayne the way things have been going for Harrison this year (or he'll get hurt during the game and miss game time ala Walker and Glenn this week). He does all the work down the field, and Wayne gets the TDs.

Looking back, I should have made another Defense move this week but you never know what will happen.

I do know that if I do play you next week, you won't have the benefit of 1/2 my team being on a bye when we play and this time you'll be facing ROMO, not Plummer.

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/18/2006 12:08:26 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Steve-O, in case you didn't notice, I still have two players left and I left 26 points on my bench (and yes, I would've made the same decisions again).... so I really hope I play you next week so I can take the title from you and show you who the real FARCE in these playoffs is - YOU!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/18/2006 10:42:20 AM EST  Edit  Delete

By the way Chase, you calling me a Moron for not playing a guy who's had 5 catches for 34 yards for the last 5 WEEKS is a joke. No wonder you're one and done. Enjoy your token visit to the playoffs, I guess we'll see you again in about 6 years.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/18/2006 12:08:58 AM EST  Edit  Delete

LOL you caught me i really didn't put in any effort in this week.......i know it's fantasy football you don't actually think your out there on the field playing do you???.....Congrats Fighters i really don't see my kicker saving me this time......Frank 18 points by Cato June and your toast in yahoo...lol....in my other money league i need 18 from Rudi and i can advance......3 money league games today 4 tds wow!!!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/17/2006 11:53:23 PM EST  Edit  Delete

At least I put up a decent effort win or lose....unlike yourself and the other FARCE.

Me or Bob are taking the league.....ChasePU and FARCES are a joke.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/17/2006 11:06:44 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Hey Bangers, been watching Survivor who's going off tonight in the game, Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....
as for the Yahoo what planet are you on it's $20 you think I'm going to pay attention to who's a TE or not get a life

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/17/2006 10:41:34 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Will LT get in once more for a 3 TD game?..........I'm watching!

That didn't take long...........gonna be a long night I see. Mad

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/17/2006 7:35:53 PM EST  Edit  Delete

By the way BigCat......sorry, I'm just getting back from my company meeting in NY and I'm just noticing your post.

Who gives a fuck what he was in college. What position does he play in the pros?

It all boils down to chase running a 1/2 assed league. Draft and do nothing, baby!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/17/2006 7:18:31 PM EST  Edit  Delete

LMAO @ Chase....looks like you're the Moron when Rivers goes off tonight (instead of LT)

Doesn't look like the Central Division wasn't that bad at all when you look at all the numbers including Power Points, Points Against, consider them all and we were a tough division.

Barring a LT EXPLOSION looks like the Bangers will be looking at the Farces next week! And looking at the #'s on the FARCES this week and last, they are a FARCE.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/17/2006 7:11:58 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Well that's a wrap, now i can get back to the family...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

good luck men

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/17/2006 3:26:15 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Frank - unfortunately for you, football games are not played against the same team week after week. All that I had to do throughout the season was beat the team I was facing and if you look at the POWER POINTS, I am in the Top 4. That means I deserve to be in the playoffs, I'm not "lucky" to be here.

If anything, you were unlucky since your team choked when you really needed them... but that's something that was well deserved after all your boasting and trash talking so I don't think anyone will be running to your defense anytime soon Big Grin

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/17/2006 3:06:19 PM EST  Edit  Delete

enjoy the yahoo leageu MD....now theres a case of some fantasy bullshit a 7-6 crap team beating my 12-1 monster..............hey bangers i see a MOTW in the making...lol.......i hate fantasy i could be out of all 3 money leagues after this week....now i'll be able to enjoy my RAV's on Christmas Eve

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/17/2006 1:55:48 AM EST  Edit  Delete

I apologize for the uncharacteristic lack of correct grammar and spelling as it is very late and I am trying to sqeeze all this board crap in before a day at the firehouse. My next performance will be a little sharper in the dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/17/2006 1:53:12 AM EST  Edit  Delete

PS Since Stevo the Short Bus Rider can post about the Yahoo League here I'm going to slip something in! The money is paid up and Chase is going down with the Vick performance. That is all I needed to offset LT! Crikey swims with the Sting Rays! The Tanks are rolling to another Super Bowl victory!

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/17/2006 1:48:08 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Yes I'm still around and recovered........just spending more time in the other three leagues I'm in where I'm still in the playoffs or money is all.

A couple of quick points for my friends that run off at the mouth and have nothing but shit coming out and no toilet paper to wipe themselves with.

Mika.......your team is going to the playoffs and won the division purely by luck and nothing else. And you can't argue the point because the list of facts to back it are in the records of each week of the season and the numbers you didn't produce but still sqeaked out a victory. Back when we were facing each other for the division I looked at how are teams would have done if we faced each other each week. At that time I would have been 11-2 and with the loss that week would have been 11-3. I like to use the fantasy world of matching us up each week and use the "would have" phrase at the end because I'm sure you would understand that kind of talk with the fantasy world you live in trying to take credit for anything you did this year when all you did have was luck. Your team sucked and the fantasy gods rewarded you anyway. And that's the way it is! I don't mind too much because I did win the league the last two years in a row and was due to be the hard luck team this year. The numbers are there to prove it. I am still the third highest scoring team by more than 50 points and my team did it consistantly except for the last three regular season games.

As for you Steve you are in the same boat as "clueless drafter boy" Mika. Amazingly I would have only collected 9 wins against your sad sack team. The most comical thing is that you rip me for all the moves I make yet you are too STUPID to know that making moves and not sitting on your hands, no matter how good you think you team is , is the only way to give your team the best chance to get to the Super Bowl and win this league! Now you did win the league ONCE so that either means you've forgotten how to do it or you were just completely swimming in DUMB LUCK! Now we have way too much history as to how you put together a team so we know you haven't forgotten how to win. Which in the long run may be very good for you this year as it seems you are swimming in said DUMB LUCK once again! That paired with the fact that you take pride in being able to regurgitate the obvious when you use the "old" hindsite which is 20/20 to give out your "awards" each week goes beyond the stupid to being just above a vegetated state of mind. Yes Steve you can be proud of the fact that you still give the retarded a chance to look sharp as a tack!

The only other solace I will have is that niether Mika or Steve will win this league this year. That is one Stone Cold Lock that Deano should jump on big time. The team with LT and the other team with Gould and the Chicago D will roll here at the end of the season. So good luck to Chase and Bob. It will be fun to watch!

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/17/2006 1:19:28 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Quick point there Mika............quit taking credit for things you didn't do........like drafting Vick........you picked him up off the waiver wire when I dropped him.......damn you have a selective memory.

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/16/2006 10:31:39 PM EST  Edit  Delete

No surprise that once again, Vick goes off the week I bench him. I will never draft him again just due to the constant guessing game of which Michael Vick you are going to get every week!

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/16/2006 9:14:16 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Agreed, both very good Big Grin

Call off the search for the Fantasy MD as he has been spotted on lower Whacker and is doing fine. He has not been sober since St. Louis sent out the kicker for the extra point in the fourth quarter against Da Bears. He hopes to sober up by the baseball auction.

I think both playoff games will be close... I like my chances, but I wish Chase didn't have such great rushing matchups... Jamal Lewis against Cleveland - the same team he set the single-game rushing record against? Ugh... Then the Bears D against the Tampa Bay Sucks... I'm hoping for 10 points at the most. And hey Bill Parcells, how about using Marion Barber for something other than blocking this week?

Gang Bangers, you shouldn't count yourself out... if LT has a 1-2 TD game, I think you are in business with your lineup. I'm sure rooting for you as I would rather face you in a final game than the TD machine. Roll Eyes

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/13/2006 11:40:59 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Your killing me i can't believe you brought this here...oh wait yes i can wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!....Bangers it's just a fun league for $20 deal with it, that's the thing with yahoo fantasy many players are bonus players...he wasn't drafted, it looks like Marty picked him up in week 2, you had your shot.....How could you let this slip your the TE master you even have 2 on your CPFL roster.......Now quit your whinning and go beat him

Martin OConnell - BigCat: Posted on 12/13/2006 10:29:29 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Steve-O, I think you are posting on the wrong board. But, I will still add my two cents. Yahoo is what it is, a free mechanism to run a fantasy football league. I think it does a fine job considering that there is no cost. By the way, Colston was a TE in college.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/13/2006 9:26:47 PM EST  Edit  Delete

I don't see how you can expect someone to join your Yahoo league again when you allow Marquez Colston to be played as a TE. You should have put a stop to it right away. Maybe if Marty commissions it I'll think about it, but otherwise, no thanks. A real commissioner would at least check rosters. Not just form a league, let everyone draft and then do nothing the rest of the season like they have it all under control.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/12/2006 6:49:40 PM EST  Edit  Delete

I've been waiting for you to realize this ..Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The 1st Annual DOTY goes to none other than.....Mr FRANK WALSH! Beating out Ruckus!

Yes Frank, you are the Donator Of The Year!

When push came to shove, all you did was DONATE Frank! Picking up Garcia? Thanks for the extra $4.00 in the pot! What happened to your "Gamer and Leader?" Lost the faith?

What I think it really is that you just wanted to cement yourself as the DOTY! Hey Frank...make a few more moves the next few weeks trying to win the Power Points! Us playoff people could all use some extra cash!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/12/2006 12:08:05 AM EST  Edit  Delete

HAHA Frank. All your shit talking this year, and all you have to look forward to is paying that move money. Marty, make sure you got a guy or 2 on the loser so he doesn't skip town. It's like pulling teeth trying to get him to pay...just ask Chase.

So much for your matchup theory too. The only team Mika would have beat is you and your Stone Cold Jinx. Face it Frank, you suck and so does your draft Theory. Nice supporting cast.

Meanwhile, I'm going to the Dance. Enjoy your view from the nosebleed seats.

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/12/2006 12:03:08 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Hey Frank, the unthinkable has happened... the Fakers are in the playoffs. What a TRAGEDY!!!!.

I think I'll be nice and not gloat about it.... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... NOT!

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/11/2006 11:27:33 PM EST  Edit  Delete

It would suck to not make it because of that botched snap... right now it looks like XPs are all I'm going to get, Rams not interested in FGs anymore due to that BS defensive holding on 3rd down that gave the Bears a TD.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/11/2006 11:20:16 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Wheeeeee he's back in.

Frank don't give a shit about me.

He's just lucky UF's kicker is making it a game still.

Like I said, unless Griese plays, The Football DOA is done anyway. The minute the Stone Cold Jinx was made with illogical rationale, I knew he was toast. By the time the night is over, the Football DOA wouldn't have been able to beat anyone this week.

Enjoy that nice Zero in Power Points. LOL.

Steve.........as a Raider fan from when I was young.......and that was longer ago than most of you I believe.......except maybe you Steve.......Al Davis has long ago turned being a Raider fan into the same thing as being a Cub fan. For a long time us Raider fans have known that the Raiders will not be a viable football franchise until Al Davis 1)dies or 2) sells the team(and that will never happen). So I'm dug in for a long wait until he dies.......hopefully I'll outlive him.

That being said please stop making excuses for the hood that Moss is. He is just another malcontent, self serving primadona and that is fact. He doesn't care about his team and he doesn't give any effort. That was the fact before he left Minnesota(and why they ended up trading him) and it wasn't going to get better in Oakland. Oakland has made the mistake of attempting to ressurect a number of carreers of the players you have mentioned and the Raiders have been burned by everyone of them. They are all bustouts that have no pride as was proven when Oakland brought them on when no one else would. Oakland took the risk of spending the cash in hopes that one of them would turn themselves around. Instead all they did was steal a check while basking in the California sun/smog. Moss has turned out to be the lastest and the worste in some time. One of the best things that could have been said of Moss was said during a game broadcast a few weeks ago when someone had mentioned Moss and Troy Aikman's response was "Is he still in the league?"

Moss only cares for himself to a sickening length and the only way to repay that is to try to forget he's in the league as fast as we can.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/11/2006 7:34:46 PM EST  Edit  Delete

I guess if you want to end your career you head to the Oakland Raiders. I didn't think they could ruin Randy Moss, but they managed to. I never thought I'd ever see him get dropped in the middle of his career. What a tale of going from Stud to Has-Been overnight. Add Moss to the list of Collins, Jordan, Brooks and whoever else you can think of to careers ruined by signing the dotted line for quick money instead of thinking of the long haul.

A once proud franchise ruined by a guy who is definitely passed his time. Al Davis should have stepped down ages ago. It all started with him turning down a state of the art stadium in L.A. for the crap he's stuck in now, making the move just to defy the NFL instead of doing what was best for his team. May he rot in the sesspool that is called Oakland.

I feel sorry for Brady Quinn or Troy Smith, one of whom will likely get stuck with Al Davis and never have a career in the NFL. The best they can hope for is some polish kicker getting hyped at draft time so Davis overlooks them!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/11/2006 11:08:33 AM EST  Edit  Delete

I could use a running game tonight by both teams.......hopefully the Bears play it smart by taking the ball out of CROAKman's hands.

It'll be funny if I miss the playoffs because of that 108 yard fluke-ass return by Chase's lucky ass. Sure there were other games I could have won if I started the right line-up, but if that fluke play doesn't happen, I'm in the playoffs regardless. Welcome to Fantasy football.

Looks like Frank is toast as well (unless Griese plays). "Enjoy YOUR view from the sidelines this year"!!! LMAO.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/10/2006 7:17:23 PM EST  Edit  Delete

you keep harping on listening to me it didn't matter who you started you wr's sucked ass....maybe you should have dropped one of your loser TE"S and picked up another WR.......wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/10/2006 6:34:40 PM EST  Edit  Delete

He still would have been just as good if not better if he plays than the crap Robinson you started. But like I said, don't go by what I said, I actually listened to a perrenial loser like Chase for my decision.

I find it funny how you benched your "Gamer and Leader" though. Some Football MD. Grossman BLOWS.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/10/2006 5:54:22 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Yo Moron.......I mean Steve........same thing.......let me pull your head from your ass when it comes to Colston..........he hasn't played for 3 weeks and this week will make it 4. He's been slow to heal and has been a game-time decision for 3 weeks. Start a game time decision for 3 weeks and you're burned all 3 weeks. He can't push off without pain. He's very unlikely to start this week with or without Horn in the lineup.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/10/2006 5:19:23 PM EST  Edit  Delete

lol..i don't even listen to me.....i don't think you'll have to worry about walker going off

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/10/2006 4:41:34 PM EST  Edit  Delete

I should talk anyway, listening to freaking Chase. Watch Walker go off now. Fucking Chambers sucks ass.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/10/2006 4:40:21 PM EST  Edit  Delete

The only question I have is what Colston is doing on his bench? He has proven his best receiver when he plays, and with Horn out, every indication is that he will play. I may be wrong, but even him hurt is better than the crap he started. (Hurt Colston >>>>>> Robinson Healthy)

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 12/10/2006 12:45:07 PM EST  Edit  Delete

I think you've made a wise decision Frank, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...Grossman won't even finish his game.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/10/2006 11:13:13 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Deano..........what really counts is that you're focused on MY decisions here at the end of the season so you've already forgotten all of your bad decisions at draft day and during the season making your own lineup changes. Right or wrong it's been a good run. If I let the also rans like Steve worry me where would I be? I'm going with Garcia! Eagles could get snakebit by the Skins at home but who can't start a QB that is going against a D that has let up 23 passing TD's?

My talking will be after the game!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/10/2006 8:36:33 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Marty....Aren't you wrong on your assessment between me & fat ass?

If I win and he loses, according to the rules, scoring shouldn't have nothing to do with it.

We would have the same league and head to head record. But the 3rd tie breaker is division record.

If I win and he loses, my division record would win the tie breaker right there, so what does his scoring have to do with anything?

Dean De Angelis - Dirty Dean's Done Dirt Cheap: Posted on 12/8/2006 10:22:15 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Frank- Don't do it & dump Rex for that loser Garica. Dance with who brought you to the dance & Rex will certainly put up enough points against the Ram defense to secure a win against the Biters. Just like Lovie, You can't cave into pressure from the press or other owners & jump ship. The LOCK has confidence in Rex to Mush on MNF & now we need Captain Walsh to lead us to the title!
Last thought-Frank-How bad will it be on Tuesday if you make the wrong decision at QB?DeanO

The LOCK has been red hot!!! I've been on the Stone Cold Jinx in the past, but the lock has been HOT of late!!

However, the LOCK ends this week!

"Mrs. Direction has chosen the wrong RB combo 10 of 13 weeks" + "Pray that he chooses the right combo this week" is not a lock at all! In fact you are contradicting what the Lock actually SAYS.

The Lock really says Mrs. Direction will choose the wrong RB combo again. Praying is not going to help you! You can only Pray to God according to the Bible. The Bible states that Angels, the Virgin Mary, Idols.....none of them can hear you! "Only through Jesus' Name can you approach God in Prayer".

Guess what? God doesn't give a shit about Frank!

Give me UF and the 7 for the REAL LOCK!

Week 14 edition of the Stone Cold Lead Pipe Locks.....Thanks to Uncle Ruckus last week for dumping Mrs. Direction & improving the lock to 9-5 & plus $4800. As predicted here, the SEATTLE Defense scored & Uncle Ruckus didn't even need the 10 points. Ok, on to this week & with all the bad blood between Mrs. Direction & the Ultimate Biters, I can't pass up this huge matchup for the lock/game of the week. Here some game tidbits- 1. last time Mrs. Direction beat the Biters 78-44. 2. Mrs. Direction has scored 88 more points than his oppenent YTD. 3. With all those GREAT & I really mean GREAT RB's, Mrs. Direction has chosen the wrong combo of RB's 10 out of 13 weeks but still has manged a 9-4 record on the season. 4. Even head coach Frank Walsh says the matchups are in the Biters favor this week 5. Momentum say the biters are on a 2 game win streak & Mrs. Direction lost last week. So what does the lock say? The lock says give the 7 points & gimme Mrs. Direction for $2000 & pray that he chooses the correct RB combo this week. Rex- yes Rex to Mushin wins it on MNF and Mrs. Direction has sweet revenge on Mika & the Rex bashers winning theWest title 42-30 over the Ultimate Biters....DeanO

Don't worry Frank, you drafted the best. (Even though your move money states otherwise).

Matchups shouldn't matter at all for the "Football MD". (ROFL)

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/6/2006 6:35:54 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Steve if you had your head out of your head long enough to take a deep breath and a thought you'd know that Grossman had a good matchup with Minnesota's poor pass D despite his troubles as of late. And only an idiot would have anything to say about a QB's rushing stats.........who cares about QB's rushing stats.......QB's stats that count are passing you fool............if you had any real insite into your Moron of the Week award Steve it might have something to offer. But as it is with all things it's grown old quickly and you don't know when to quit it!

You suck Steve and so does your award. Enjoy your view from the sidelines again this year Steve.

And for your information Mr.Moron, I could start Grossman or Peyton Manning and it probably wouldn't make a difference this week with the matchups my team has. I am definitely the underdog going into this week's matchups......Mika's got nice ones and all mine suck except for one WR.

The MOTW is Mr Frank Walsh!!! Missed Direction!!!

Yes Frank, you are a FUCKING MORON for starting a QB who flat out SUCKS ASS!! I mean, anyone who starts a QB that throws for 34 yards (At HOME) and had almost as many INTs as Completions is DEFINITELY AND WITHOUT A DOUBT A FUCKING MORON!!!

I mean, how your QB ended up with a ZERO is beyond my comprehension!!! That loser's performance deserves a MINUS 20!

Look at his last 7 weeks! 14 INTs and God knows how many fumbles! What is so FUCKING FUNNY is you keep sticking with him! You think he is a winner! LMFAO!!! Frank, get it through your head: CROAKman FLAT OUT SUCKS! Look at his STELLAR rushing statistic for the year!! -17 yards!! Even Kyle Bollar has rushed for more!

Frank...you are bordering on the DOTY award, your QB sucks so fucking bad!

PLEASE start him again, so I can LAUGH MY FUCKING ASS OFF when UF beats the crap out of you, and you win the DOTY instead of your division!!!

One week to play and only one playoff spot has been clinched. What About Bob has clinched a playoff birth. What About Bob will be the wildcard unless he wins and Chase PI loses, he will then take the division. Chase PI locks up the division with a win or a What About Bob loss. He is currently .5 points better than Missed Direction for the wildcard if What About Bob takes the division.

The winner of Missed Direction / Ultimate Fighters will take the division. The Fighters are out with a loss but Missed Direction could still take the wildcard with a loss if What About Bob takes the East. He will need to outscore Chase PI.

Fat Ass clinches with a win or a Bangers loss. The Bangers need a win, a Fat Ass loss, and must not be outscored by more than 5 points by Fat Ass.

Everyone else ... we gone!

Remember, we play for the $25 high score prize through week 16 and all teams are eligible. Also, the Power Point champion is determined after 16 weeks.

Steve there's one thing I can always count on no matter what I put on this board............you're an idiot and will make anything stupid look inteligent with your next post. If drafting LJ, Portis, Westbrook, Addai, Muhammad amoungst others is drafting a bad team then you're a genius! Anyone who drafts a good team and then sits on his hands is the fool! I've lost Portis and Colston(luckiest pickup this year) so far and have always looked to upgrade. Another thing you don't understand because you suck.........hhhhhhmmmmm........Chris do you mind if I use it too?.............DONKEY BALLS STEVE.......YOU SUCK DONKEY BALLS! Bangers my friend, i was right there with my horseshoe hoping you would win.....i'm not sure why your thinking it was a horseshoe type game you just lost a close battle........all though you are a top candidate for MOTW, why would you start Walker with a buster rookie QB you know shanny was going to coddle, when you could have started Chambers who would be catching balls from the recently HOT!!!! Harrington, things that make you go Hmmmmmmmmmmm....BTW you would have won see you in the efficiency report wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

1. Florida beat nine teams that are projected to play in bowl games. Michigan beat six.

2. Michigan beat five teams that finished the season with losing records. Florida beat two teams with sub-.500 records.

3. Florida's 12 Division I-A opponents had a combined record of 89-57. Michigan's 12 opponents had a combined record of 84-61.

4. Michigan's best win is considered a 27-13 victory over Wisconsin on Sept. 23. The Badgers are 11-1 and have climbed to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 poll, despite having played only one ranked opponent -- the Wolverines -- the entire season.

5. The 12 teams Florida defeated finished the season with 11 combined wins against opponents which were ranked in the AP Top 25 poll at the time the game was played. The opponents Michigan defeated claim just three wins against ranked teams (Notre Dame beat Penn State. Indiana beat Iowa. Vanderbilt beat Georgia. The Nittany Lions, Hawkeyes and Bulldogs, it should be noted, haven't been ranked in seven weeks).

6. The Gators went 3-1 against ranked opponents, beating then-No. 13 Tennessee, No. 9 LSU and No. 8 Arkansas and losing at No. 11 Auburn. The Wolverines went 1-1 against ranked opponents, beating a highly overrated No. 2 Notre Dame team (that lost to Michigan and USC by a combined total of 46 points) and losing at No. 1 Ohio State 42-39 on Nov. 18.

7. The Gators played Western Carolina, a Division I-AA team, and won by 62 points. The Wolverines played Ball State, which should be a I-AA team, and won by eight.

8. Since the Wolverines last played and lost at Ohio State, the Gators won at Florida State (The Seminoles are 6-6, but rivalry games are tough to win. Just ask USC coach Pete Carroll) and then beat the No. 8 Razorbacks, who defeated then-No. 2 Auburn and No. 13 Tennessee by 17 points each.

9. Michigan didn't win the Big Ten; Florida won the SEC. Winning your conference should be a prerequisite for playing in the national championship.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 12/3/2006 8:31:44 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Fucking fUCLA!! USC didn't bring it. 2 rivalry games in a row had an effect? Oh well, they had a good year given the fact they started a whole new backfield including their QB.

All Big 10? What, are you fucking stupid Marty?

Michigan didn't even win their fucking conference! And they played in a EASY fucking conference this year. And don't give me Wisconsin. Who in the fuck did they play? Who in the fuck did Michigan play for that matter? Michigan's season came down to tOSU and they LOST.

Florida played a tough schedule and won their conference. If they don't go it's a fucking tragedy. I think the BCS is much better than the voting system we had, but if Flordia doesn't go, I'm going to start campaigning for a playoff.

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 12/2/2006 7:32:20 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Power points are a lot more indicative of a team's strength since you are rated against every other team that week. In power points I'm in 6th place, not 9th and only 3 points separate my team from the 4th place team - something that could change in one week. So out of teams that would be more deserving than mine, it would technically only be two at this point and I bet that will change between now and the last week of the year.

Hope you like tragedies because I have a good feeling about Ruckus this week and the LOCK is in! Big Grin

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 12/2/2006 4:51:37 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Mika, for the record I think it's safe to say anyone would like to have the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft and I think it's rediculous that I should try to argue with someone saying that they would be a better team if they could have that first or second pick....................NO SHIT SHERLOCK! You sound like any one of my four sisters in an argument when they were 6 or 7 years old, clueless and lacking any logic. Sheeesh! Another thing there ace is that there have been a lot of teams picking in the top three spots year in year out that haven't won it all.............so nothing is handed to anyone for having that high a drafting spot. In fact if I were to take it all, it would be a feat that hadn't been repeated by a team drafting #1 since 2001.

Enough of this crap of how well you think you did in the draft because of where you picked. Chase picked behind you and has scored more than 100 points than your team without any coulda, shoulda, woulda's to be said. Your team has been consistant but you leave out the second and most important part of that consistant and that's consistantly lucky. You're 9TH in scoring in a 12 team league! The only way your team could perform any better is to be doing this hindsight crap you keep posting on here. Let's play the games and then go back and let Mika change history so he can pull the wool over his own eyes(and definitely not anyone else's) about what a nice team he has. Wow we have really entered the bizarre for you Mika! Only 5 times out of 12 weeks have you scored better than half the teams this year!

You not only look at the world through rose colored glasses Mika but you do it with the deftness of someone smoking crack and popping vicadin! If the division does come down to next week's game it will be nothing short of a tragedy. A tragedy not only because I would have missed out on a division I should win but because there are at least 4 or 5 other teams that would be more deserving a spot in the playoffs than the Ultimate Farces! If there were any true scores settle on the field in fantasy this year this conversation wouldn't include you because you'd be so far out of the picture. Smile

Week 13 (Is that Unlucky 13 for the Locks?) of the Stone Cold Lead Pipe Locks.....Thanks to What about Bob for covering the 4 and spanking the living &((*^%$% out of Chase PI last week and improving the lock to a VERY respectable 8-5 on the season and plus $3800 YTD.
FYI-The lock is 0-58 when picking against that Mighty and I mean MIGHTY Mrs. Direction team but I can't help myself this week as I love Uncle Ruckus plus the 10 points against that 9-3 fraud. How about Big Ben & the boys against TB and Plax vs. the Cowpokes and maybe just maybe that Seattle defense gets into the end zone against a rookie starting QB Jay Cutler. So gimme $1000 on my Uncle Ruckus to not only cover the 10 point tab, but that's right kids.....lower the boom on Mrs. Direction with a 47- 39 victory! DeanO

Put in Chester and Big Ben... thanks for offering that!

If LJ doesn't explode in Cleveland, I think the game is yours this week and should be close.

Chris Benton - Uncle Ruckus: Posted on 11/30/2006 2:00:32 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Tell you what, Mika - you choose since I'm a blundering idiot with with my lineup choices this year. (And I don't even need to include last week's screw up to make that claim)
Chester or Deshaun?
Kitna or Big Ben?

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 11/29/2006 6:10:27 PM EST  Edit  Delete

There is no hate here either, it's all in fun... but I hope you do recognize the benefit of having the #1 or #2 draft pick - I wasn't asking for your whole team. LJ has scored double the points of 99% of the RBs, so it's like you are starting 3 RBs when your opponents only have 2. A Brian Westbrook, for example, is only 4 points better than a Marion Barber. LT is even worse... it would be pretty hard NOT to make the playoffs this year with him on your team.

That said, I think I did pretty well with where I drafted and while I don't have the highest points every week (although I could've had a league high 98 if I didn't F up in Week 8), I have a consistent output which is why I've been able to win when other people have off weeks. The power points tell a better story because I'm not on the bottom and had I managed my team a little better, I could be near the top.

I really, really, really hope Ruckus pulls off the upset this week so that Week 14 between you and me is for the division - because then our fantasy teams can settle the score on the field.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 11/29/2006 5:23:44 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Jim love the exerpt from ESPN. I like Lovie but there are some bad decisions being made.

Well from Mika's exerpt I know he's an idiot. "If I had your team and you had my team I'd be better than you! Waaaaaaaaah! Some classic stuff. Now does that make me the sage? NOT! Oh but I try.........a practice in futility!

Mika you are benefiting from the Sonny Romo Show in Dallas with your Marion Barber III! Very nice pickup! He's become the goal line stud with the revival of the Dallas O.

I want to make sure you know one thing Mika.................there's no hate here. You are the unfortunate benfactor of having to take the blame for the "Fantasy Gods" blessing you this year. Every season there's a team with that special "horseshoe up the ying yang" luck the defies logic. I have been that team before and the best thing to do is enjoy and not ask any questions. Your responsibility is to carry the burden backlash from the teams like mine that have to sweat out a division and/or playoff spot stolen from them despite their teams good output. I'm pretty sure you're aware of this but wanted to clarify because as you keep hanging around(like that one with aligator blood) the more I have to vent! You're a very lucky man this year and I'd rather you'd be weaving your web of magic in some other division. Needless to say our division will be very interesting for the next two weeks.

Here's another number for you Frank: UF's Hi points for a week are 56. LMFAO, even Ruckus' sorry ass scored a 61 one week.

Ultimate Farce, you are definitely a Farce!

You can be my fan all you want BigCat, but the fact of the matter is I'm gonna get SMOKED!!

#1, I scored 72 points last week, fat chance of that happening again. And I'll need at least 72 points to beat Bob. Hell, 72 points wouldn't have beaten Bob last week!

#2, Look at Bob's players matchups...pathetic! He couldn't have a better week of matchups, and I'm stuck playing him.
Brees playing against #25 ranked passing D
Gore playing the #29 rushing D
LT playing the #26 rushing D
Coles playing the #29 passing D
Crumpler playing the #26 passing D

Bob only a 15 point favorite?? LMFAO!!!

BANGERS LOCK OF THE WEEK: Bob 84, Bangers 32

Oh wait, this is Fantasy Football!!! Maybe I'll get a 108 yard fluke return by my D to win!!! Oh what the fuck, that shit only happens to people with Horse Shoes up their ass like Chase!

Marty, I thought you would appreciate this. From this week's Tuesday Morning Quarterback, on ESPN.com. (The author is Gregg Easterbrook. Sometimes, he's an idiot, sometimes he's a sage.)

Sour Coaching Decision of the Week No. 1: Trailing 17-10, Chicago faced fourth-and-6 on the New England 14 with 3:38 remaining. The Bears needed a touchdown; Lovie Smith sent in the field goal unit. After the kick, the Bears still needed a touchdown. When you're down by seven points with a couple minutes remaining on the clock, getting a touchdown is imperative -- so try for a touchdown! Sure fourth-and-6 is risky, but you're close to the goal line, the game is almost over and you need a touchdown! Needless to say, Chicago never had possession in New England territory again. There are times when I want to shout, "Coach, can you see the scoreboard?" The scoreboard dictated going for it; Lovie Smith sent in the kicking team. Had the Bears gone for it and failed Smith would have been blamed for the decision, whereas this way Smith was able to blame his players. Which he did after the game, saying, "It's tough to win with four turnovers, it's as simple as that." This shifts the onus onto the players. Whatever happened to win-as-a-team, lose-as-a-team? If Bear Bryant had coached this game, afterward he would have said, "The fault was mine for not going for it at the end."

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 11/28/2006 11:14:37 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Here's an interesting statistic... if I had not traded Chad Johnson away (thanks to Marty for starting the proposals), I would have 56 more points right now. That would actually put me in 4th place for points and still tied with you for the division lead.

Even more interestingly, if I had the number 1 draft pick like you, I would've had Larry Johnson carrying me all year round and guess who would've won in week 8? Me, not you. Doesn't matter who you would've started. Also, go ahead and take away my number 1 and 2 draft picks as well, CJ and Randy Moss. Big deal, I still win and would've been fine without them.

So you can be all high on how great your team is, but just know that if I were in your draft position and you were in mine, you'd be struggling to get into the playoffs right now, not me and I'd have more points than you. Amazing how that all works out isn't it?

Big Grin

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 11/28/2006 3:59:48 PM EST  Edit  Delete

A point well made Anthony...........how is it that a team that has lost 7 in a row is a favorite over an 8-4 team? That happens when that 8-4 team is the 4th worste scoring team in the 12 team league!

Ultimate Farces has only two numbers to throw out(7 game losing streak, 8 W's for Ultimate Farces) when talking about the next week and the rest of the season.

How about these numbers for the Ultimate Farces:
Previously mentioned Points for: 485 - Good for 9th in scoring out of 12 teams.
This week's opponent's Points for: 519 - If the law of averages finally plays true for both these teams Ultimate Farces goes down
Next week's opponents Points for: 617 - good for an average of 11 more points per week, law of averages should hit one of the next two weeks
Ultimate Farces Power Points: 56 - good for not coming close to a sniff of the Wild Card Spot if needed
UF's Year To Date Points Against: 505 - good for a 42 point average which is 2 points more than UF's......pathetic
Nine lives used up thus far by UF: 8 - that would be number of UF's W's too.........even if he uses up life # 9 this week he's then at the end of his rope.

We could go on but why beat a dead horse?

Oh yeah........because it's fun.
We'll be back for more later!

Getting back to Grossman....

Look for him to bounce back the rest of the year. The Bears' last 5 games are against teams with losing records. Hopefully he can get some confidence going for the playoffs, because if he plays like he has been the last 6 games it's 1 and done.

The Bears are 9-2 with Grossman......but they were something like 10-1 with Orton last year so that's not saying much.

MOTW is Aunt Calm by a nose over Big Slick!!!

Big Slick would have won, but McGahee was questionable to play at Thanksgiving time. Since the holidays are a factor for a lot of people getting to a CPU, the judges decided he deserved a break.

The judges will announce our DOTY winner for 2006 soon! Looks like we have a run away winner! Better give your silent parter Hillman a call for next year!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/28/2006 1:07:47 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Speaking of Bob......my season is over......unless Deano pulls off a miracle bigger than him actually ever picking a winner.

No one is 2nd guessing you Frank. I merely stated how it must be nice you winning with 32 points on your bench. For almost anyone it's a guaranteed loss unless you get the right team to play in a given week.

But who'd ever expect you to understand what you read? Or does your dog translate what is posted for you?

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 11/27/2006 6:42:24 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Yes, I like my chances against a team that has lost 7 in a row and that's just reality, not an insult. If I was playing What About Bob I would probably just consider my season over. Anyways, the only way I can make it into the playoffs is if YOU lose or tie and without that, my winning is irrelevant... and while I'd love for DJ to put up 100 yards and 2 TDs tonight, I'm not holding my breath.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 11/27/2006 3:58:02 PM EST  Edit  Delete

One more thing, Stooges should remember to stay home next week because Mika obviously thinks that there's no way he can lose to them. The important thing to him is that I lose because he already knows that he will win. Here that Stooges? You were completely disreguarded by Mika..........as if you're team is as thin as the paper that your lineup is written on. How's that for a Holliday Insult? Anyone else up for more insults? Mika's passing them out like Xmas gifts!

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 11/27/2006 3:51:51 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 11/27/2006 3:49:12 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Steve........if I would have started Addai in front of Westbrook and Adai doesn't go off you'd call me moron of the week becuase Westbrook is a stud. Addai goes off on my bench and you want to say something about my winning with him on my bench. You're worse than a broad........in fact you are a broad! You wait until the results are in and then find something to rip. If you're so smart you would be posting at gametime at any questionable starts and then stick to what was said about those questionable starts and say nothing else. And eating the crow when you are wrong about those questionable starts. Instead you are a coward and have something to say after all the football has been played and any retard could look at the lineups and call someone Moron of the Week because they didn't start someone that went off on their bench. Even with Addai on my bench I still scored over 40 points for the week which I have done 10 of the 12 weeks of the season and remain a more solid contender for the wild card spot if for some reason Ultimate Fighters cornhole thier way to what is rightfully my division title. You on the other hand don't produce and second guess everyone afterward. I guess when your team sucks like yours does all you have left is second guessing. Enjoy it before it all fades into the darkness and is forgotten. The contenders and what they did this year will last a little longer.

Mika it's a shame you already counted Big Slick out even though he still has Darrell Jackson still left playing tonight. Many strange things happen on MNF and no one is safe until the clock reads 0:00!

By the way Frank, you can talk shit to Mika all you want about "being lucky" or "false record", it must be nice to still win with 32 points sitting on your bench.

That's where the efficiency report is full of shit. It's all about catching a team on the right week.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/27/2006 10:39:10 AM EST  Edit  Delete

You already know how I feel about Grossman. Personally, I think the team would be way better off with Griese, but the fact of the matter is that it's too late to switch now. The team is 9-2 with Grossman, but without the defense we all know that's not the record with him back there. The guy has thrown 11 INTs the last 6 games and lost several fumbles. He's HORRIBLE. Frank is a MORON for calling this guy a leader. The only leader I see on this team is Urlacher.

Unless Grossman somehow reverts back to early season form, it's going to be an early playoff exit like last year.

Chris Benton - Uncle Ruckus: Posted on 11/27/2006 7:12:47 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Questionable run d?? WOW!!!
Deshaun's avg was higher (7.0 ypc), but he left the game hurt. Taylor lost his blocking fullback before last week's game. 28 att for 80 yds. Of course, your hindsight is 20-20.

How about the Lovie report?

Why do you kick that field goal? You need another TD anyway. It is a no brain'er if you can get w/in 3 points but to kick a field goal from the 14 yard line with 3:36 on the clock, only two timeouts, and chasing 7 is a bad call.

Lovie must have got his bet in last minute and got the 4.5 points!

Official Ruling: Cool

In a unanimous 3/3 vote, the Rules Committee, along with consenting opinion of other league members, has clarified the rule regarding players who play in games prior to Sunday’s first kickoff.

Players who are on the roster of an NFL team playing in a game prior to Sunday’s first kickoff are considered “frozen” until the following week regardless if they are a bench player on a CPFL roster, an active player on a CPFL roster, or an NFL player who is not on a CPFL roster.

This week it's all about What about Bob as how can a team put up 80 points and lose? That's why I'm going to Bob this week in a key matchup vs. 1st Place Chase PI. Bob is the 2nd place team and is favored, on the road, in a tough place to play at Chase PI's home field. If only I did have a playoff spot wrapped up. It's still close. I have to believe that 80 points for a losing effort is some kind of record. I would have beaten anyone else by at least 40. Oh well. The funny thing is people said I was crazy for taking LT and passing on Shaun Alexander with the second pick. The thing that really hurts is Chase PI finally lost and I can't get a win with 80 points. I know ocho-cinco is good, but Lee freakin Evans? Have there ever been 3 players with 28 points in the same match up?

Jim Amsler - Fighting Amish: Posted on 11/20/2006 5:31:58 PM EST  Edit  Delete

80-all? That's disgusting. Bob, I am assuming Marty is going to get something out of tonight's game, which would make you some kind of hard-luck loser. Not that you haven't pretty much wrapped up a playoff birth (berth?), so I won't be crying for you.

I am wondering, Marty, if anyone has ever put up 80 in a game and lost?

Wrong week to play my worst game.

Thanks again, Deano.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 11/19/2006 4:48:11 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Mika! Looks like you're having another record output by your team. A whole 9 points so far.........impressive! Though Big Slick only has 8 I don't think you're going to survive this one even if you do muster up some more scoring. Big Slick has Eli and a few more that should be able to out pace you at this point. Don't worry though........you can brag about being the second lowest scoring team in the league and having a winning record...............being the Horseshoe(up the ass) Player of the Year is definitely something to be proud of for sure!

And by the way Mika.............great trade Chad for Reggie......OUCH!!!!!

Big Cat going off on What About Bob! Will he be able to survive any kind of late run from LT?!

Down goes Colston, down goes McNabb, down goes Favre!! Who's next?! It looks like big injuries are still going to have an effect on the rest of this season. Is this the end or will there be more?

Thanks Deano. I fucking lost. Congrats ahead of time, Fly.

Week 11 edition of the STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCKS...Unfortunately, I have to report that Uncle Ruckus put a spanking on the Cadillac Williams (he freakin sucks) led Dirty Dean's ballclub 61-26 last week to improve the record to 7-3 on the year & 4 winners in a row to run the total to +3900 YTD.
This is division week and probably the most important week of the season and we have two pick'm games this week that I just cannot pass on for STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCK.
Lock #1 is the Bangers over Fly Fat Ass Fly for the division lead in the HAPLESS Central Division. This matchup comes down to the INDY/DALLAS game with 6/18 players involved. I think that game will be a high scoring affair and bring the Bangers the Central crown. I also like the Betts pickup and he will score a goal line TD as the Bangers win going away 55-39. Gimme $1500 on the Bangers.
Lock #2 is the Ultimate Fighters over the Big Slick. I like the matchups for Mika with Delhomme vs. the Rams and Wayne vs. the Dallas DB's- so it's the Fighters 32 Slick 29 in a low scoring matchup as Manning can't muster enough points on MNF vs. the JAG. Gimme $500 on the Fighters.
I don't even have any confidence to talk trash with Mrs. Direction on our matchup as my team couldn't beat a HS team as all I can do is pray for Larry Johnson to get food poisen on Saturday night vs. that Raider D...................Later- DeanO

LOL...is there some CPFL law that says your the only one that can post without having all the facts.....You got me there 1 catch $200 - 2 Yards $100 - 6 big points wasted PRICELESS.......Another thing that i overlooked as a possible MOTY move who the hell keeps 2 TE's on his roster????

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/15/2006 9:44:36 AM EST  Edit  Delete

The guy caught 1 pass for 2 yeards Chase. And I didn't just pick him up. I picked him up the week before last week as a Bye player and decided to keep him. So get your facts straight before posting your crap.

Team Efficiency Report

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 11/14/2006 7:09:19 PM EST  Edit  Delete

WA WA WA..........I'd have to say the MOTW is the guy that didn't start the hottest TE in the league.....i mean you make a move like that on Thursday you would think you would use him...and that gets you the win even with my wonderful td......why would you even pick him up seeing you hate the guy throwing to him, seems like a dumb way to spend $4........as for my bench what can i say they're good....lol.....Rivers was never getting in the game no one thought the would go off like that and that was a down the road move also the commish forgot to make move and i couldn't have started him anyway.....Brown may have been a bad bench but the other two were predicted to do better...keyshawn is going to have trouble getting in with Holt, Driver and Branch,..@ kicker i decided to take the dome kicker over the windy and rainy kicker...overall it's nice to have some guys to fall back on................anyway hard to be the MOTW week with a win, when the guy your playing sits the hottest TE going and loses.

PS. this would have been the 1st game i lost due to making a wrong start, i say would have, cause some young punk decided to run that ball all the way to the end zone wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the other games i had no shot................

Best of luck to you!!!!

MOTW goes to Chase PI for having 40 points sitting on his bench, more than 1/2 the teams in the league scored on their starting line-ups.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/14/2006 10:04:40 AM EST  Edit  Delete

BigCat. Post the list that shows who is the worst at starting their best line-up. Outside of Ruckus, I bet Chase is right there.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/14/2006 10:02:38 AM EST  Edit  Delete

And I don't know what you're all happy about Chase. You got a Fantasy Gods lucky ass win. You didn't even start your best line-up. Your best line-up would have beaten me without needing a lucky return like that. So there was no skill in your win at all. Skill would have beaten me straight up. But as you just proved, it is better to be lucky than skilled. Just ask Mika who is 7-3 scoring less points per game than his opponents score against him.

Enjoy your lucky ass win. I hope to see you in the playoffs where your lucky ass won't get some botched return to beat me.

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 11/13/2006 12:17:43 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Frank, if I don't end up losing Housh and Gonzo today due to injury, I plan on "faking" my way all the way to the playoffs and in Week 14 I'll make sure that you aren't in them!

How's Portis' hand doing? Hopefully Westbrook holds up for the rest of the year... Smile

Frank, you're so full of shit I can smell your hairless ass all the way up here in the NW Burbs. Grossman a gamer and leader? LMFAO. He gets by on his defense. Griese is the better option and everyone knows it. Gamers and Leaders are QBs like Favre, Elway, Montana, Aikman. He isn't one of those guys and never will be. Call him adequate, don't call him a Gamer & Leader. Yeah he looked good in the 2nd half with half their starting defense on the sidelines, wait till next week when the regular Grossman shows up. And if you bothered to get your head out of your ass long enough you'd realize that this week was his 17th start not last week.

Some fucking Football MD. All your fucking patients must have fucking brain tumors. Or tumors in their ass like you. Now my fucking neighbor's cat is up in the tree, come get it the fuck down fireboy.

Hey Swick, how do you like that dose of Grossman? He's a gamer and he's a leader! You and your Griese crying is pathetic! Every QB out there top to bottom has had rough times and what does a guy like you want to do? Bail! That's all you're about is bailing! One thing is for sure and that is that no one could go to battle with you and know that you have thier back. Once things get dicey you put on your skirt, grab your purse and you bail! You're not a gamer Swick and that's why you can't recognize them. Not to mention talent. Last week Grossman started his 17th game in the NFL. He's got talent, he's a leader, he's a gamer and he deserves to get a long look at being this team's future at quarterback. There isn't one quarterback that has played in the NFL that would have survived long enough to make the Hall of Fame if they had anyone close to your way of thinking running thier team because they would have bailed early on! Someday you may pull your head from your rear long enough to figure things out but just like the ostrich you'll probably stick it right back up there once a hairy situation comes along again! Leave the football to the football people Swick and just for once sit back and try to learn!

The Football MD has spoken1

You may have weasled by again Mika but I have a head to head match against you at the end that is the ace in my sleeve. I doubt you'll be around when that time comes but even if you are it will be great getting a nice division victory to take me into the playoffs! And once again you get another underachieving win with another pathetic output by your opponent. You're living a life of lies and at the end of the season I will be Truth's Justice!

Dean De Angelis - Dirty Dean's Done Dirt Cheap: Posted on 11/11/2006 8:15:35 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Week 10 edition of the STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCKS...Very simple----Another week and another winner! I havn't heard too much complaining lately from the owners who I have chosen to be the STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCK of the week, maybe it's because we (my fine research team & I) are 6-3 on the year and have given 3 winners in a row thanks to What about Bob and his fine ballclub last week. My prediction of a 58-24 final was pretty close to the actual spanking of 66-20 of the WRless 3 Stooges (yes- I know you are getting Fitzgerald back this week!) and we are ready to move on to Week 10 after that brief 30 second infomercial. As much as I hate to do this, my money this week is on Uncle Ruckus +2 vs. Dirty Deans Done Dirt Cheap. Benton's team has lost 3 in a row and are ready to turn it around with some really good matchups in week 10. I like Kitna vs. the 49er & Chester Taylor will have a HUGe day vs. the Pack D that probably couldn't stop the 3 Stooges WR's! Dirty Dean's sorry RB's have probably scored a combined 12 points all year and had to pickup up Maurice Morris (I thought I was getting Mercury Morris from the old Dolphins) off the scrap pile. Steve Smith wins it on MNF and Uncle Ruckus pulls off the upset 44-39 with the victory over DDDDC RBless team. We are plus $2,900 on the year so Gimme $1,000 on my Uncle Ruckus to cover the 2. That's all for now and go G-Men on Sunday night vs. the Bear!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/7/2006 2:15:22 PM EST  Edit  Delete

It was a tough decision for this weeks MOTW! You have BigCat who moronically continues to start someone other than Gore that plays on a shitty SF team. Galloway on your bench over that loser Bryant? Pfffft!!! Next you got Ruckus (who is more of a Calm than a Ruckus) who starts a guy that isn't even playing (Burress).

The judges have awarded it to Ruckus. People starting players not even playing are the biggest Donators. In fact, no one is even close to Ruckus at this point for the DOTY.

Change your team name to Aunt Calm, dude.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/7/2006 2:01:53 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Hey Mika: I got a guaranteed way for you to win your division:

Give Deano a call, slide him a 20 spot out of your division winnings, and make sure he picks Frank every week. Frank could be his Lock or a side bet, it doesn't matter.

Then all you have to do is win your games and you'll coast!

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 11/7/2006 12:11:15 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Sucks to be Marty this week. Seneca couldn't put up more than 4 pts. and newly acquired Ocho Cinco put up Cero and forced Galloway to the bench.

Most importantly, Frank LOST and I WON which ties up my team and C&C Running Back Factory!!!!!!

EVERYBODY DANCE NOW

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/5/2006 4:07:33 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Bring on Griese.

When money time comes, Grossman won't be playing the GB and SF defenses of the World. He's shown his true colors (throwing picks or poor overall play) against any decent defense he's faced.

Good luck with him on this East Coast swing (and decent defenses). Can you say 4 losses before December?

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 11/5/2006 2:53:50 PM EST  Edit  Delete

You would think that when someone makes a pick-up, and leaves the commissioner a note on the pick-up "Bye TE" that he would be inserted into the starting line-up after he is successfully picked up. It's not like a normal waiver request. When the note states "Bye P/U", it's plainly obvious you are picking up a player to replace the guy that is on a bye. This is especially true when the Bye P/U is for a kicker, Defense or TE because not many people (if any) have two of those player types on their team.

Thanks for nothing, BigCat. I hope you don't plan on charging me because I ain't paying jack shit for it. I can assure you of that.

I am off to the see the Fish and the ghosts from 72 pull off the miracle upset at the field known as Soldier, next to the lake, home of Da Bear, and the former stomping grounds of Da Coach. Bears.

If you have any last minute requests, please post them to the board as well.

Most excellent duckets provided by the Fantasy MD. Me, Frank, Chase PI, and mini Chase PI will be attending. I will be in full Dolphin garb only covered up by my Bears jacket which will be tossed aside late in the 4th when Marino, I mean Harrington, marches the Fish down the field for the winning TD.

Week 9 edition of the STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCKS...The kid is BACK in the BLACK (+1,000) with a big victory last week posted by the Gang Bangers over the WRless 3 Stooges. It's a tough slate this week but all I give is winners so this week it's What about Bob -3 vs. the The 3 Stooges ballclub led by JP Losman,Cedric Benson & the fine WR trio of Rashied Davis,Roscoe Parrish & Amani Toomer. What happened to Hank Basket? What about Bob should roll with LT, Frank Gore & the boys to an easy victory and 4 wins in a row for Bob 58-24. Gimme Bob -3 for $2,000.
Also- after the dust settles in week 9, is it possible that every team in the Central Division will be below the .500 mark? Mrs. Direction could dust the Bangers, What about Bob will down the 3 Stooges and Chase PI is a 16 point favorite vs. Fly Fat Ass Fly. I know I'm getting greedy but give me a 3 team parlay with Mrs.Direction(-18),What about Bob (-3) & Chase PI (-16) for $100 at odds of 7-1. That's all- I know I have a problem! DeanO

But that's ok.............you'll pick up the pieces of your house of cards at the end of the season. No division title, no playoff spot, and still no clue because you love WR's and just like a ball hog with his shot selection............never saw one he didn't like. Fool's Gold! Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 10/30/2006 11:42:19 PM EST  Edit  Delete

The only thing that I can say to that Mika is if you don't expect to lose another game you're going to be disappointed very soon. I love your enthusiasm and if you're lucky enough to not lose until we meet again I'll give you credit. I truely don't expect to have to give you credit. Odds are you will at least lose another and so will I. Where it will all shake out who knows but I'd rather be in my boat with stud RB's than stud WR's 10 out of 10 times. Better luck next year with the draft.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 10/30/2006 7:47:37 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Yep! MOTW goes to Mika! A 2nd time winner I believe! 54 bench points? My whole fucking team can't even score that! Everyone knows Harrison is done, so why bench Wayne?? Yep, a deserved MOTW!

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 10/30/2006 10:52:51 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Oh, and go ahead and give me MOTW for my all my bench points. At most I would've started Reggie Wayne though. No way Barber or Maroney would've been in and Delhomme had the better matchup, especially with Romo in his first start, but the Panthers sucked it up. Now that Vick has proven he's hot, he'll probably get the start from here on out.

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 10/30/2006 10:50:33 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Put it this way then - had I decided to draft RBs instead of WRs, they would not have been Brian Westbrook and Clinton Portis at the positions I drafted. Look at the Draft Summary and you will see a laundry list of RBs drafted before those two that have done no better than Ahman Green and Laurence Maroney. One of those guys is who I would have and I would have worse receivers. Kudos to you for getting two guys most considered gambles at the start of the year and both ended up paying off.

Hope you don't lose another game between now and Week 14 when we meet again because I don't expect to.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 10/29/2006 8:00:30 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Frank i thought you were a fantasy god last week when guys i never heard off were scoring tds on me..... Someone call 911 i have chest pains, but held off the bigcat for the BIG win......would love to see Ruckus come from behind to beat the 4 starting wrs of Bob...lol......now i need somemore points, see ya....anyone seen bangers????

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 10/29/2006 7:53:39 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Sorry Mika but once again you're............WRONG! You could have had Westbrook and Portis....and you can say what you want about injuries and what have you but the fact is that both are healthy and both are at the top of fantasy scoring AND BOTH WERE AVAILABLE TO YOU BEFORE YOU PICKED YOUR WR'S! I know that because I picked first and had Westbrook and Portis waiting for me after everyone had their first and second picks. There were other options.........you just chose what I believe is the wrong one. I would hope I'd get some credit too seeing as I have multiple championships in my case. How about you?!

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 10/29/2006 6:50:28 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Well, here's where I'm going to have to disagree with that. In my opinion, I drafted perfectly for the position I was in. Had Rudi Johnson not been drafted 7th right before me, I would've had him instead of Chad Johnson. Once he was off the board, the difference between the remaining running backs was not so great. We are talking 1-2 pts. per week so far this season and after today I will have two top 20 backs (Green and Maroney).

There is simply no one I could've had today that would have put me at 5-2 so far and helped me beat you today. When your opponent has 3 of the top 10 fantasy leaders, you are in trouble.

I'll see you in Week 14 in a game that will hopefully be for the Playoff spot. You'll have LJ against the Ravens and Westbrook (if he isn't injured yet) against the Redskins. We'll see how you do against my receivers then...

Hopefully I will know which ones to start (Reggie Wayne loving my bench today) Big Grin

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 10/29/2006 5:54:37 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Mika my friend, you now know what it's like in the big leagues. Maybe next year you will understand that WR's are unreliable and unpredictable and that no one..........NO ONE.....should ever draft 4 WR's with their first 4 picks. Hell, no one should ever pick more than 1 WR with their first 3 picks! It is the path to destruction. The other battles look interesting. We'll see who the pretenders and the contenders are at the end of the weekend. Ultimate Fighters............PRETENDER! Of course I don't want to be rude so better luck next time!

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 10/29/2006 5:15:21 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Wow, 32 points out of Larry Johnson alone and another 20 out of Marques Colston. Even Leon Washington can't catch me up now. Congrats... I'll be on your tail the next few weeks though so you better keep it up!

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 10/29/2006 11:52:05 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Frank - on paper, yes, I should lose today. I am the most undeserved 5-2 team in the league. But just like the Bears against the Vikings and the Cardinals - I find a way to win!

Brian Westbrook against a banged up Jags with 30 mph winds in Philly... he'll be good for 16 pts. LJ (if Damon Huard starts) at home against the Seahawks who are missing Hasselbeck AND Alexander? 18 pts. minimum. How can I compete with that? Well - how about I match those performances with my unlikely heroes, Ahman Green and Leon "Gado2K7" Washington!

Then we'll add in a little dose of Can't Go Wrong in Cincinnati (Johnson & Housh) and if he feels like playing today alongside Jerry Porter, my man Randy Moss. Delhomme will put up 300+ against the Dallas Romo machine and your WRs only put up 4 pts. for you. Hopefully Rex takes it easy with he PaTDs because I do want the Bears to win.

I hope for your sake I'm wrong because I have a "soft" schedule after this so this is definitely GOTY material this week! Good luck - YOU'LL NEEED IT! Big Grin

Hell yes!! Deano just made my weak-ass receivers a lock to score some big points as I'm sure he will go back to his lead pipe curse this week!! Thanks Deano for giving me that little extra I needed for the win this week. And just so everyone knows, the team that somehow makes it in the playoffs from a weak division is sometimes the hardest to beat (i.e. St. Louis) so I don't care if I am in the weak division as long as I get into the playoffs.

Week 8 edition of the STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCKS...The kid is back to even as Mrs. Direction not only covers, but wins last week vs. Chase PI. Frank- I did take a look at the 3 Stooges WR's and who the hell is Hank Baskett(ball?) When somebody gives you a gift, what do you say? I say thank you very much and I'll take that gift of 14 points and the Bangers vs. The 3 Stooges. I like some of the Bangers matchups as Leinart goes vs. the tough GB defense and Steven Jackson should do well in a shoot out at SD. The 3 Stooges have the Deuce vs. the Raven D & highest scorer will be his kicker Akers as the Bangers win in an upset 41-8 and move in to a 1st place tie in the weak and I mean WEAK central divsionn at 4-4. Gimme $1,000 on the Bangers who have lost 3 in row to get off the losing track and get a victory in week 8. DeanO

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 10/27/2006 12:39:58 AM EST  Edit  Delete

A very big fantasy week ahead!

As Deano stated before the West has a battle for first. Will Ultimate Fighters be exposed as the pretender? There couldn't be a more undeserved 5-2 team in the league as the power points show! Ultimate's only hope of sniffing the playoffs is to stash another horseshoe up their cornholes and grab another win with luck. If they don't take first it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY that they'll be able to jump ahead of enough teams to grab that all important wild card birth. I can't like Ocho Cinco calling himself out this week.........he LIVES to burn Deangelo Hall from Hotlanta. Hope he doesn't bench the wrong WR. And we'll see if he can get by on that underrated(I was one of the LOUDEST detractors) part time waiver wire looking back field while riding that stable of studs at WR......who knows I just may start the right two stud RB's I have.

In the East the Big Cat has his work cut out for him this week. His task is to try and reign in Chase PI who at this point of the season has got to be the odds on favorite to end the quest for the three peat and take the big prize this year! If Big Cat can pull it off with the Chicago D and Robbie(I'm not Elliot's kid) Gould he has to be respected and watched for a late season rush for the playoffs. We'll also see if What About Bob or Uncle Ruckus will right their respective ships and start their own run at the playoffs while sending the other team down the path of being "the spoiler" for the rest of the season.

In the Central Gang Bangers time to put up or shut up has come. As bad as it's been thus far for the Bangers, they are in position to take on The Stooges for a piece of the Central Division lead. SIDENOTE: Dean if you think my WR's suck(and I agree they do) you should take a look at the group The Stooges have. I almost forgot how bad mine were when I looked at them! Stooges I truely thank you. IF the Bangers can get past this week they have the two highest scoring teams in the league in successive weeks. It's doubtful they'll get through it but anything can happen! Fly Fat Ass Fly(damn I love that name) also has a chance to take a piece of that division lead if they can beat the Fighting Amish. The Amish would have to start their run this week if there is any hope of the playoffs! A couple of lucky wins could get them to No.1 pick Alexander coming back and that would be large.

A lot will be told come the end of week 8! It will be a little clearer who the contenders and pretenders are when the smoke clears. Good Luck men!

That's right Ultimate Fighters...the best division is the west (17 total wins) by far the class of the 2006 CPFL. How about the matchup this week of the two 5-2 ballclubs with the powerful Ultimate Fighters vs. the Overachieving Mrs. Direction team coming off a huge upset. The Fighters getting no respect from Vegas as Mrs. Direction has been installed as the early 11 point favorite in this Western Division Heavyweight clash...Stay tuned for further details & predictions on this & all other CPFL week 8 matchups...Big Slick- I'm coming after you this week with Phillip Rivers vs. the Ram Defense...DeanO

Larry Johnson is tearing it up ... on your bench Frank! Oh well, Leon Washington and Michael Vick are doing the same for me... all were the right calls, but I hate when that happens.

Leon may be may be this year's Samkon Gado for me after this week - but it's against the lowly Lions, so who knows! Confused

Dean, nice try with the half jinx! But as we all know when you dis the Football MD even just halfway it spells disaster for the other guy. Yes my receivers are weak but don't underestimate the luck factor. Hunch of the week is the New England receivers this week be it Gabriel or Jackson. Here I come chase......be warned of the backfield carry!

Week 7 edition of the STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCKS...Kudos to the Big Cat for his cover last week & exposing the STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCK JINX for what it is... a big fat FRAUD....Going into this week I'm down only $3,000 & have been working on this play all week to get back to Even Steven. I know Chase PI has won 4 in a row and is heavily favored over Mrs. Direction but 14 points is too many and I like Mrs. Direction +14 to cover (but not win) against Chase PI. Mark Brunell gets into a shootout with the Colts & LJ & Portis have big days to keep Mrs. Direction in the game. But Frank- those WR's you have absolutely BLOW (Jerricho Crotchery?) & you get a goose egg from the WR's position and lose
58-49 as Bledsoe to Owens beats you on MNF. I'll take Mrs. Direction to cover the 14 for $3,000. DeanO

That's right BigCat thanks for bringing that up.....Frank, where's the love, as much as it pains me to go against your charge to win the West (NOT!!!!) I must pull for the Fighters this week as I would love to have that extra game over the Big Cat.

Lots of scoring talk lately all good points, I've been looking at the Current Top 100 Players and it has 24 QB's - 28 K's - 14 D's - 18 WR's - 15 RB's - 1 TE.....of which 25 of them are not on a team, the league can only start 12 QB's, K's & D's so 30 of them players will be benched. So headed into this week about 55 of the top 100 will be a non factor.

I have no clue what all that means but I was bored, I will say on Monday night when it was 14-0 Cards and my Bears D still had 3 points I thought that was kind of whacked.

Anyway it is what it is, and it's nice to still be alive in week 7.

Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I agree that Grossman had some bad THROWS that came back because of penalties but not bad GAMES!! There is a big difference, every QB makes bad throws just as everyone has their bad games but a couple bad throws and one bad game shouldn't mean that someone gets benched!! On the Benson issue, I absolutely agree that Benson should be in there as much as possible. Enough of Jones trying out for dancing with the stars with his shit as dancing runs instead of just running forward, hitting some people, and gaining positive yards!!

Chris, there is no way in hell I am trading McNabb for Williams but thanks for the offer!! I would be willing to part with Leftwich for a reciever though.

Chris Benton - Uncle Ruckus: Posted on 10/17/2006 5:23:06 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Gotta love Swick! Steve, I'll concede Grossman SUCKED Kangaroo Balls last night, but come on - the o- line has to take a little bit of the fall. I'll fault Grossman alone for two of those picks he threw. And F Cedric Benson unless he can stop whining, and block for the passing game. If he's going to be a prima donna, and not take on a blocking assignment, guess what happens when he gets put into the game?
EVERYBODY knows it's going to be a run. Can't risk your 215 lb injury prone qb getting torn apart by some 290 lb coked up musclehead because some young overpaid punk thinks he's too good to stay on a block. If Benson is in the game, it's going to be a run, or a three step drop pass. There is no threat of a long ball. And, F the bears for playing such a horrendous game that I turned it off and went to bed after that int Rex threw with about 6 min left in the fourth. Wonder how many missed the end of that one!!!!

HEY - WHO NEEDS WR'S???? A.C. - Want the Byron to Reggie hookup?

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 10/17/2006 11:22:00 AM EST  Edit  Delete

He's had bad games all year. You just don't see it in the boxscore. Passes that should have been picked that weren't, INTs called back by penalties. I saw this game coming. What's worse is he never got better. He actually got worse. Some of it I blame on the coaching staff's gameplan. Where was the run game? I've seen enough of Thomas Jones as well. Time to go with Benson. Let the kid play if he's your future.

Bring on Griese!

Anthony Coston - The Stooges: Posted on 10/17/2006 10:48:12 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Can't everyone quit your bitching about the scoring? If you don't like the scoring then go get into a different league! And what's this shit about Griese starting because of one bad game by Grossman? If someone got benched every time they had a bad game every player in the league would be benched. Does one bad game in which your team still somehow wins equal to 5 good games? Confused

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 10/17/2006 9:48:44 AM EST  Edit  Delete

In week 1, Fat Ass and Bob would have tied. Manning gets a -2 for one of his signature picks he throws and doesn't get punished for, overinflating his numbers. Fat Ass also loses 2 points for 2 missed FGs. Bob loses 1 point for a fumble by Palmer tying the score instead of losing.

I bet every week there is evidence of this.

The only reason I'm bringing this up, is last night during the game I kept sitting there asking myself "why is Grossman going to get a Zero for this!?" Did Grossman deserve a Zero? No he did not!

I asked my neighbor who's been GMing a league like ours for the past 14 years. They deduct 1/2 of a TD pass (-2) for every INT and -1 for missed FGs and Fumbles. True fantasy football. And guess what....the guy who had Grossman ended up losing his game after going in to the game with the lead. He deserved the loss!

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 10/17/2006 8:56:06 AM EST  Edit  Delete

In my scoring system, Bob beats Frank 66-27. Doesn't change the outcome because there was such a wide margin.

There's no fucking way Grossman deserves a zero. He gets a -10. -2 for each INT and -1 for every fumble. Frank also loses 1 point for a missed FG.

Bob gets a -2 for Rackers' gifts.

-----------------------------

In a game that would have mattered, I would have actually tied. Vick gets -3 for an INT and a fumble. If I had the time, I'd like to see how many games would be affected by a shitty QB or Kicker getting a "BENEFIT" for playing shitty and not getting punished for it.

Steve -O - Gang Bangers: Posted on 10/17/2006 8:44:55 AM EST  Edit  Delete

Well Grossman was exposed as a fraud. His numbers have been inflated all year. 2 INTS called back by penalties. Tonight he couldn't escape. 4INTs and 2 fumbles? A good QB at some point stops the bleeding in some way - even in a loss. He turned into an amputation.

Bring on Griese!

Running backs are overrated, Marty, especially in this league. Why, my two starting backs this week, I picked them up the 5th and 7th rounds. And... what? I'm down by 56 heading into the Monday night game?

Never mind. I don't think I have ever had a team score 56, much less two players.

BTW, if I had started Kevin Jones and his patchwork offensive line, I'd be down only like 50 or so. So there.

Don't worry about good 'ol Jeff... he's taking a much needed rest after kicking 0 FGs this week and will be back in week 8 to continue steering my team to the playoffs.

Martin OConnell - BigCat: Posted on 10/15/2006 10:46:18 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Just sharing the love.

Big Slick, the number one rule of fantasy football is that you start your studs. You drafted Williams in the third round for a reason. Doh!

Uncle Ruckus, what's all the ruckus. Do I sense panic? Your team could be 4-1 going into this week. Kurt Warner has been washed up for over 2 years now. Quarterbacks of his stock are like $1 dollar pitchers in baseball. You have made the correction and now have Kitna who will be fine. My personal opinion is that Kevin Jones blows and Kitna will be lighting up the scoreboard for the DEtroit Lions the rest of the way.

Fantasy MD, the only thing that I have to say to you is be cautious because the fall from that mighty high horse could be mighty traumatic.

Deano, you were due so I had no worries with the lock. Team BigCat has taken care of the off field distractions and is ready to roll.

Chase PI, what is there to say. You are the cream of the crop right now. You are like the Bear and sit atop the fab 5 list. It will be fun catching you! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!

Bangers, your team just flat out sucks! I looked at that pathetic starting lineup and said "how has that fucker even won a game". Then again, you do have Culpepper, Droughns and the vaunted Indy D on your bench this week. Ha! Hey, what do you want for Chambers? Seriously.

UF, what do you say we wager $20 on our kicker's performance in our match-up next week? Oh wait, your kicker is on a bye. Looks I should have no worries. Deano, let it ride with BigCat next week, my kicker will single handedly get it done.

Amish, just for the record, I spent a collective 20 minutes preparing for this years draft. The only thing that I knew for sure was that I was not going to waste a pick on Kevin Jones. Wheeeeeeeee! And that had nothing to do with the "unique character of our league".

Fat Ass, the only thing I have for you is that I am so fucking happy that I don't have to listen to the Tomahawk War Chant during the baseball post season. Oh, and one other thing, it sure was nice to play you with Manning on the bye. And now I get UF with Wilkins on the bye, man, my ducks are in a row.

Stooges, how far can the D-Train carry you? It won't have to be too far with the likes of the Bangers, Fat Ass, and the Amish in your division. Kapow, Pow, Boff, Zap, Sock! If there is one position that can carry a team it is QB. I don't care what scoring is used.

What About Bob, there are two types of people in this world: Those who like Neil Diamond, and those who don't. Confused

It's a long season. Big Grin

Chris Benton - Uncle Ruckus: Posted on 10/15/2006 10:23:04 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Sure, but picking which one of those wr's to start has cost me 4 games. And before Frank and Swick start in with the "I told you so's" - PLEASE - those were toss ups. All luck if you would have picked the right one. The luck that I seem to be lacking so far.

Mika Casey - Ultimate Fighters: Posted on 10/15/2006 7:59:02 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Chris - as much as the Lions suck, Kitna is a top 6 QB. Anyone you get for those WRs will likely be worse than him. Those WRs are each tied for #3 OVERALL, so you may want to hang on to them Wink

And Dirty Deans... 89 points with one to go?

I inserted Fat Ass's bye TE. When a bye player is picked up, it is assumed that he is in the starting lineup. I have done this in the past and believe that it is the way it should be.

ED Russel - Fly Fat Ass Fly: Posted on 10/15/2006 3:16:07 PM EST  Edit  Delete

I am nominating myself for MOTW. After picking up a bye week TE, I forget to put him in my starting lineup. Brilliant. Of course, McMichael will likely score 2 TDs for my bench today. Unfortunately I have been too busy this season to pay the amount of attention to this stuff as I normally do, not that it matters much....my team really sucks anyway.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 10/15/2006 2:46:04 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Has Fly Fat Ass Fly given up? Are they throwing in the towel? Do they just not care? OR do they know that the Big Cat is a pushover? If the Big Cat loses today to a team that doesn't start a TE it is a sad day indeed. Is Fly making a statement about the TE position itself or Big Cat's team? I'd like to hear some answers!

Chris Benton - Uncle Ruckus: Posted on 10/14/2006 8:20:09 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Dude, my only other viable option is Damon flippin Huard. I put in a request for carr, but he was snagged. (Of course)
The Ruckus is just having no luck this year on the gridiron. I might take a chance on Big Ben Floplesburger, but Kitna should be playing from behind all day, I hope. Hey, If anybody wants a top 4 wr for a qb (I have two of them, and there names are NOT smith or burress) let me know. Fire sale! And, as always, F you Swick! Mad

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 10/14/2006 3:50:29 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Not that anyone needs any help but does Uncle Ruckus know that Mr.Kitna will be missing three of his starting five linemen this weekend? I like the way Kitna's throwing the ball too but with three of the starters out I'm afraid for the guy.

Week 6 edition of the STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCKS...OK Guys, I took a tough loss last week and went back to the drawing board for this week's lock. I have run all and numbers & consulted with Art Schlicter and now - I'm BACK & BETTER THAN EVER this week and like the Cat -4 vs. Fly Fat Ass Fly (Fly you lose by 51 with Peyton!;you're killing me & now I have a 2nd mortgage payment to worry about) Fly has to turn over the controls this week to Chad Pennington & the one & only Ron Dayne vs. the Cat---NUFF said. I'd rather have McNown & Enis in the lineup than those two bozo's. Hasselbeck & Gates lead the way & SD Defense even scores a TD as the Cat rolls 61-2 & send Fat Ass to their 4th straight loss. I'm down $5k; so I'll take $2,000 on the Cat to cover the 4.

Dean's Stone Cold Lead Pipe Curse has worked again, even managing to make Peyton Manning look like he was playing against the 85 Bears and not the awful 06 Titans. I thought I had a shot this week until I saw that I was the recipient of the "All-Time Lock" and then I knew I was doomed.

For all owners who are behind in their mortgage, I am giving you my ALL-TIME LOCK to put some cash in your pocket and pay off your credit card/strip club debt.
FLY FAT ASS FLY +16 vs. the Stooges. Thank you for the points, but I won't even need them against the 3 stooges. two words- "PEYTON MANNING" vs. the Titans as he will dominate. Give me the $3000 I am up and additional $5000 on Fly Fat Ass Fly to cover the 16 and win outright 55-30. Deano

Hey Frank:

Monday, September 25, 11:45 AM EST (Week 3)

News Story: Portis ran for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Fantasy Analysis: What shoulder? Clinton was Clinton on Sunday and is a must start every week when healthy.

Source: Fantasy Insights

Now Frank, Mr. MOTW, this DOES NOT say start a guy listed as questionable on the injury report. I see you working, Frank. Looking for that "Monday Night Close-out". Well it backfired. Anyone with a Brain knows what Washington is looking to do every week. Gibbs is looking to bring back the Hogs.

And instead of calling the commish - who's having trouble keeping his own team out of the loss column - here's a novel idea: Get the info yourself? I mean you're in the Sports betting capital of the world! Surely the info was there for you?

Oh yeah, you're the Moron of the Week. No wonder you couldn't find it.

Ken Chase - Chase PI: Posted on 10/4/2006 12:01:17 AM EST  Edit  Delete

How about that Big Frank!!!!!!!!! WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I have a couple solid kickers anyone want to make a deal to get one of them and steal a win next week????

You'll be that much closer to the trophy....why don't we have a trophy.

Frank Walsh - Missed Direction: Posted on 10/3/2006 12:59:38 PM EST  Edit  Delete

Steve..........I'd rather be Moron of the Week instead of King of the Morons like yourself. If you knew that I set my lineup on Thursday before going to Vegas and knowing that Westbrook was listed to play against the piss poor Packer D and Portis to play against a solid Jax D that shut out Pittsburgh's running game you might not be so fast to speak. You, Steve, would have to be a bigger moron than that to start Adai as a part time runner ahead of Westbrook who would have all the carries against Green Bay. For the record I did call the commish to check on my lineup and inquired if he had heard anything to change Westbrook's situation. Last word on Saturday was that he practiced and was ready to start. So Steve you are still King of the Morons because you still can't think before you speak OR BEFORE YOU SIT AND ACTUALLY TYPE SOMETHING OUT TO BE READ!!!!!

On another note I congradulate Dean for the victory. If he's to only have one or two victories this year and I still take the division I'd be more than happy to make his year by having him take down the best team in the league.

And that's no slight to you Big Slick because it seems that the dispite my predictions this year, it seems that for the second year in a row I will again be in the division with the two best teams in the league. The saving grace is that the rules were fixed so that we won't have to face each other in the first round of the playoffs and will wait until the Super Bowl to see who wins it all!

Congrats, Frank on scoring 72 points this week.....but you are still a Moron!!!

It's a tight race for Donator of the year!! Stay tuned!

Regarding Mika's post.....dude give it up. We've been bitching about kickers for years. It is what it is. I'm still in favor of subtracting points for a missed field goal however. If we had a round table at Marty's house (he supplies the beer) I'm sure we could come up with something.

Mika, I really think you are off base here. First, please define normal for us. Are you referring to all of the free leagues that offer canned scoring that so many are now joining? I hate to sound like Grandpa but I (we) started this league before you had your first stiffie so please be careful when using the word normal. The only normal that I am aware of in fantasy sports is that every league uses different scoring systems.

You can bitch about not rewarding points for mediocre stats but you will find that it does not really matter. I used your proposed scoring system (1 pt. every 10 rushing or receiving and 1 pt. every 25 yards passing) and recalculated your game with Big Slick. Our scoring has you winning
50-44, your scoring has you winning 93-80. Did it change the percentage of points scored by the kicker? Yes. Did it change the outcome of the game? No. You will find this is the case most of the time. As stated in the email that I sent to you earlier in the year, your kicker gave you 1 win last year on a day that he scored 19 points and he would have given you that same 1 win if using your proposed scoring.

By the way, there is no way to milk the system. You are free to play under the illusion that you are milking the system but when you run the numbers and do the math, you will find that you are wrong.
